Lavender is New Partner at Timmons Warnes and Anderson

(Athens, Ga.) Timmons, Warnes & Anderson, LLP announces the promotion of J. Michael Lavender, Jr. to partner. Lavender, who has been with the firm for five years as a clerk and then an attorney, specializes in real estate, estate planning and corporate planning.
"I am very proud to be partner in a firm of such fine attorneys," said Lavender.
Born and raised in Athens, Lavender received his undergraduate degree from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Va. He returned to Georgia and attended Mercer University in Macon, where he received his Juris Doctorate. He is a member of the Real Property and Fiduciary law sections of the State Bar of Georgia. Within the Real Property law section, he is a member of the Fraud Preventions Committee and recently completed the prestigious Leadership Academy of the Young Lawyers Division of the State Bar of Georgia. Lavender is also a member of the Federalist Society, the Christian Legal Society, the Athens Area Association of Realtors, of which he is a member of the Legislative Committee, and the Athens Area Homebuilders Association. He is a life-long member of Prince Avenue Baptist Church and a member of the Athens Rotary Club.
